Bridle Trails
The Bridle Trails House is located in Bellevue WA in the preserved horse community of Bridle Trails. This house started as a 1978 colonial with many great features like step down living areas red oak hardwood and a kitchen in the heart of the home. However, most of the finishes were worn out and out-dated.
The design approach was to elevate the colonial style of the home but modernize the rooms that needed it the most. The red oak was extended through out the house and stained a more natural weathered oak finish. The entry was opened up on the second story and the stairs were rebuilt in oak with a new iron railing. In addition high end finishes were used, including Windsor One trim and moldings. Every detail was considered from the “Downton Abbey” inspired living room to the French La Cornue range and custom range hood to the 16 ft bifold door to the new entertaining deck.
The project took about a year and half to fully complete and increased the value of the home by over 1.5 million dollars.
